Introduction

Ian Tingle bespoke furniture and interiors offer a friendly design service through to finished construction to suit your exacting interior requirements. Whether it be a complete kitchen environment, or simple advice on how a particular piece of furniture could work within a given space, we will work closely with you to create a unique design that will be perfectly tailored to your budget, functional and aesthetic specifications.

History

Ian studied product and furniture design at Kingston University (then Kingston College of Art) graduating in 1982. Ian then worked for Allied International Designers (1982-1985) TAG Design Partnership (1985- 1986) DEGW architects and planners (1986-1990) and finally Roberts Weaver Design (1990-1992) before relocating to Hong Kong at the end of 1992. Here, Ian worked for a number of interior design practices, expanding a portfolio to include large corporate office spaces and hotels.

In 1996 Ian was awarded a position with the Peninsula hotel to include project management and hands on bespoke construction, working with amongst others, Philippe Starck International on the magnificent ‘Felix’ restaurant.

Ian returned to the UK in 1998 and has since been concentrating on the design of domestic interiors and hand built furniture.
